Review by Eloisa Milet
Combining a sweet melody to a faster tempo using his undeniable rapping talents, Kim Namjoon -RM- tells us that, in these challenging times, we can rely on a tranquil mindset and tiny actions to bring us the contentment the world is lacking right now.
Similarly to one of BTS’ latest releases, ‘Life Goes On’ and an older version in which the group addresses South Korea’s biggest marine tragedy, ‘Spring Day’, Namjoon’s song is a general and timeless reminder that these difficult trials ought to pass and we will be able to see the flowers of spring again, reunited and happier than ever.
Unlike in 'moonchild', one of the songs we can find in RM’s first solo album and which goes for accepting sadness and sorrow as they are, his proposal with ‘bicycle’ is to take our feet off the floor and place them on the cheerful pathway to joy.
